Classical music: The concert by the Pro Arte Quartet TODAY on “Sunday Afternoon Live From the Chazen” has been CANCELLED

By Jacob Stockinger The Ear has been informed that the concert TODAY by the UW-Madison’s Pro Arte Quartet (below, in a photo by Rick Langer) slated for 12:30 to 2 p.m. on “Sunday Afternoon Live From the Chazen” has been CANCELLED due to a musician’s non-life-threading injury. There will be NO live streaming from the Chazen website this afternoon and no recorded music as a substitution. But The Ear has been told that the Pro Arte Quartet may possible perform the same program of Hugo Wolf, Antonin Dvorak and Dmitri Shostakovich in February or at another time. (There is no Chazen concert on the first Sunday in January.) Stay tuned!
